Minnesota Vikings quarter-back, Brett Favre, is currently living under a cloud of controversy due to the alleged sexual harrassment of a Jets PR person some years ago – and the X-rated self-taken images he supposedly ‘sexted’ to her.

On Monday night – despite a record-breaking performance at Meadowlands – he threw a crucial, late interception that cost his side a win over his former employers, the Jets.

And today, in Vikings practice, he endured that great social equaliser – a football to the groin. Within hours, someone had plastered the footage into a famous Simpsons scene. This contest is over, indeed.

Regular readers will know I’m a fierce man to play my ukulele – and that’s not a euphemism.

Today it emerged that Harry Hill has been forced to drop a parody Smiths medley from his new uke album after guitarist Johnny Marr refused to give permission.

The TV Burp comic had recorded versions of the Smiths greatest hits in the style of the great George Formby. And you thought Morrissey was the humpy one in the Smiths.

Are we all going to watch the cast of Early Doors sing This Charming Man instead? Correct!

I went to see comedy’s own David O’Doherty in the Pavilion, here in Cork, on Saturday night.

Despite the former Perrier winner not remembering meeting my friends and I in 2004 in a field in Laois, it was a ridiculously enjoyable evening of laughter/muzak. Here’s his ode to the world’s greatest golfer/love-maker.
